Today was the first day for Bonnie in the Able Trust / I Can Work Program.  She stood in the mirror, and identified herself as Bonnie Hernandez.  She was hesitant to answer any questions, and kept saying I don’t know.  She did say that she lived with her Grandmother and she had a brother.  She said she is excited about the program.  When I asked her if she wanted to change anything about herself, she looked in the mirror and said “I look good”.  When introduced to the computer she sat down and opened a program with out prompting and began to play a game.

Today Bonnie was presented with a box containing a hairbrush.

When asked what this is used for she said, “for my hair” She said that brushing her hair makes her look nice.  Her routine consists of brushing teeth, washing hands and sometimes shaving legs.   Bonnie was hesitant in answering the questions with out prompting.  She did much better and was very responsive and interactive to the Personal Success Program.

Today Bonnie came to session, she went to her hairbrush box and began to fix her hair, when she was satisfied with the way she looked, she sat down and began to run the Match time program, she worked on identifying the hour where she scored 100%. She worked on identifying quarter and half hour increments, she got a little confused with 1:30 and 2:30 & 7:30 and 8:30 Bonnie also had trouble with the concepts of early and late.

Today Bonnie continued to work on time with the Match Time program.  She worked on identifying the minutes and quarter hour and half hour.  She had some trouble with this because she was rushing at first.  We counted the numbers on the clock in real numbers and then in increments of 5’s Bonnie has an easier time identifying the time in a digital clock as opposed to a standard face clock. We also tried distinguishing one hour later and one hour earlier on the program, she had no conception of this.

Bonnie came in and did her mirror routine.  She worked on her own computer simultaneously with her peers.  She was slightly distracted by this.  Bonnie worked on The Match Time Program.; She worked on identifying the half hour and quarter hour.  When she started out on the program she was doing very well, selecting the correct response most of the time, then she suddenly lost concentration and could not find the correct answers with out prompting. She still is having trouble identifying time on a face clock.
