Today was the first day of the Able Trust/ I Can Work Program.   Erika was extremely quiet at first and needed several verbal prompts to answer any questions.  She stood in the mirror and identified herself, and said she wore glasses, she is losing weight, and she has a boyfriend .Her favorite color is Red.  When I asked her what she likes to do she said she likes to work at Publix.  She enjoyed putting groceries in bags.  When introduced to the computer, she was not able to maneuver the mouse and visualize it on the screen.  She needed several  verbal  visual and hand over hand  prompting.  She said she wants to come back for another session this week.

Today Erika was presented with a box containing a hairbrush.  When asked what this was used for she said for her hair.  She stood in the mirror and brushed her hair.   She did not seem to be very interested in doing it.   I asked her why she thought it was important to brush her hair.  She declined to answer.  She was not responsive to any of my questions regarding her morning routine. She did say that she brushed her teeth.  She was interested in listening to the Personal Success Program, but did not respond.

Erika needs hand over hand assistance in maneuvering the mouse.

She identified the answers most of the time by pointing to the correct response on the computer screen.
