Today was the first day of the Able Trust program for Kathy. When she stood in the mirror she identified herself as Kathy Whalen. She said she has been here at ADT for 4 years and is very happy here. She lives with her parents and she likes nice clothes and jewelry because they make her look pretty, she also cut her hair short because it’s pretty. She showed me a brace she wears on her ankle because it hurts. Kathy said she likes Country music, especially Alan Jackson. Kathy says she wants to learn computers. When I asked her if she thought she looked good, she gave me a big smile and said YES! When introduced to the computer she needed hand over hand prompting along with visual and verbal.

Today Kathy was presented with a box containing a hairbrush. She was very happy, she said thank you for the brush. She said she uses hairbrushes to make her hair look pretty. She stood in the mirror and brushed her hair, then proceeded to tell me that she wears make up and nail polish and jewelry to look pretty too. She was interested in the Personal Success Program and interacted well with it. |

Kathy came into the room and began to brush her hair without prompting; she arrived first and enjoyed the extra mirror time. Kathy worked on the Match Time program identifying the hour. She scored 95% on the program but could not look at the wall clock and tell me what time it was. Kathy also does not understand the concept of early and late.

Kathy came in today and started doing her hair in the mirror. Kathy worked on the Match Time program matching the hour. She worked independently on her own computer simultaneously with her peers. Kathy worked on matching the hour. She worked at a very slow pace but scored 100%

Kathy showed up to her session late today, she did her hair with a big smile. I worked with her one on one today. Kathy identified quarter and half hour increments. She works at a slow pace with little to no prompting and has an easier time identifying half hour increments than quarter hour. Her overall score was 66%
